Monkey Puzzle
By Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler
A little monkey has lost his mum. He wanders through the jungle with a butterfly trying to find her. The butterfly thinks that he has seen the monkey’s mum and eventually they find her. The book includes lots of description and shows the differences between different animals.
The butterfly listens to clues from the monkey that initially leads them to other animals: she’s big, her tail coils around trees, my mums got more legs, she lives in the treetops, she leaps and springs, she’s brown and furry and she’s not nearly as small until eventually the monkey finds his mum.
