I’m pleased to announce that at Wellington College Bilingual Shanghai, we will be joined by our Deputy Headmaster in December. We welcome Ms. Yuki Gong to the team, who will be helping to undertake the ‘Getting to Know You’ sessions scheduled over the coming weeks. The December sessions will be held for those parents who attended our November Open Events and will run up until 18th December. All other ‘Getting to Know You’ sessions will be held in January, when we will be joined by Ms. Jane Williams, EAL Co-Ordinator and English Teacher. Ms. Lydia Lim, Bursar for Wellington College Bilingual Shanghai will also join us in January and will direct finance and operations for the setting.
I was overwhelmed once more at the attendance of Saturday’s open event and had such pleasure in meeting parents who held the same values as Wellington College and who shared our vision regarding Early Years’ education. One of the questions many parents asked was about the vendors used for the internal fittings and fixtures and I am in a position to wholeheartedly reassure parents that we are using one of the best global companies in workspace design and resources. Haworth have been in business for over 60 years and operate in 126 countries worldwide. As a company, they strive for sustainable and environmentally conscious products which are borne from science and design innovation. Haworth were used for the internal fixtures and fittings at Wellington College International Shanghai and we have every confidence in their ability to produce the very best quality for our Bilingual setting.
I site visit every day from my office and am astonished at the progress that is continually made. I now see circular viewing windows in the internal walls, the façade of the main entrance and the perimeter walls now being tiled. We may be hampered by the weather, but that doesn’t stop the workmen from making our dream a reality, even in the Shanghai winter weather.
